Aquarium Window Installation

This page is about the installation of aquarium windows. Hydrosight is a unique design/build firm recognized for reliable installation of stationary aquarium windows for concrete tanks. After years of experience we have an install base in many European countries and arround the world.

• An underwater window for aquaria consists mainly of an acrylic block, that has been prepared to be used for this purpose. It does not need a frame for this purpose. (For framed windows please go to our premanufactured pool window page).
• The window is sealed into a concrete rebate opening of the aquarium wall or floor.
• All installation work is done by Hydrosight.
• Sizes and shapes according to customers request for the required format up to 3m x 6m possible.
• Please note that we do not build the smaller all-acrylic aquarium tanks only in special cases.

Example 1: The Lofoten Aquarium, North Norway

Lofoten is an archipelago of islands off the coast of Norway. Even so we havn't found any information on this it must be one of the Northern most settlements in the world. It is popular with tourists crossing into the arctic circle. The rich fishing grounds were always vital for the islanders, so they set up the Lofoten Aquarium.

In 2010 Hydrosight was asked to provide Lofoten Aquarium with aquarium windows.

Example 2: Iceland Meltwater Tank

Not exactly aquarium windows these two windows worth mentioning. They have been installed in 2008 in the city of Hafnafjordur in Iceland. The windows are located in a meltwater tank, the water comes from a nearby glacier.
