The United States has always been a pioneer in pool glazing. A leader in this field is the Colorado-based company Reynolds Polymer Technology. RPT supplied the technology for large aquariums all over the world many years ago and built some of the most spectacular glazing. It was also here in the USA that the trend towards pool glazing developed. Specialists had realised that safety glass was not particularly well suited for this purpose. So the technology for pool glazing was taken over from aquarium construction.
